Lots of good suggestions here. I also prop my upper body up with pillows at night and it helps a lot, I was surprised how much at first. I can't get by with a little coffee in the morning but I did give up drinking tea all day long and that helped. For the most part I have also given up spaghetti and fried foods and citrus, also spicy foods and that was the hardest, and bell peppers.
