Hi emwell, I've practiced mindfulness meditation for over 35 years. When beginning mindfulness meditation the general suggestion is to practice once in the morning and once in the evening. Meditate (watch your breathing, 'just notice' your thoughts without attaching anything to them) for 10 minutes each session. Throughout the day, try to be aware of your breath - but don't be self-critical if you forget. Just go back and try again.

Jon Kabat Zinn is an excellent author on mindful meditation/living. A lot of people like Pema Chodron.
As for the link you've shared...I just skimmed the site, but right off I don't see anything suspicious about it at all. If the program is really free of charge, the rest of it looks okay.
