I do think that therapy might be very helpful in your situation. Unless we heal our childhood wounds it's tough to move on with life and be happy. Does the online therapy help?

Also at some point we need to so called "leave home", have our own lives, develop our identities separate from our parents so we don't stay pre-occupied with our parents and what they do or don't do. I don't think we need to forgive but just get busy with our own lives. My t says don't dwell on things and don't let them to keep you from enjoying your life.

My dad is difficult but I am too busy to focus on it.
