This is one of those instances that prove the fact that women and men will never really understand one another.

As a man, I got a chuckle out of the thread title and instantly understood and related to what was being said. Men talk this way among themselves. We always have. Men are not going to change.

That doesn't mean I hate or devalue women. Exactly the opposite is true. I love and respect women for all that they are. I love them for all the ways in which they are different and for all the perspectives they have. My father has often said to my mother that he "married up". I understand what he's trying to say to her.

I would lay my life down for a woman. Any man who would hurt a woman should have his ****ing head taken off.

There are also many women out there who know they can take advantage of man's natural protective instincts. Some (far from all, or even most) do. We rage against the women who do such things because we love them so much and don't understand why they would hurt us.
