Only your treatment providers can say whether this is dissociative or not for you. what I can say is that here in my location no this is not dissociation. here in my location even normal non dissociative people run away to other countries and run away\renounce being american just like others from other countries come to america running away from being part of their own countries. here in my location its perfectly normal for people to take on other accents. for example someone who is an american and moves to france will naturally talk like the french do, people who are exposed to mexicans will naturally learn to speak spanish and take on a mexican accent. someone from new york moves to south carolina will naturally begin to use the language and accent native to South carolina. just how the human brain works. your treatment provider can explain this more in detail on how people learn to speak according to what they are exposed to just like a baby will naturally learn to speak their own culture and language that they are exposed to.
