I'm so proud of you!! In my experience, you have made it past the hardest part and days will come easier for you. Not to say recovery is a cakewalk, it isn't. Build up the strong spiritual foundation so you have that to fall back on in difficult times up ahead. I did not do this and went back to drinking during a challenging time throwing away a year and a half of sobriety. I remember those first couple months getting sober though. Not sure how long or how much you had been drinking, but for me it was long and a lot, and getting sober changed my life drastically. I'm on day four today. Going to get my year and a half back and then some! God's will not our own, and God wants what is good for us. Glad to hear your marriage and relationship with your son have improved so much. Keep working and the rewards just keep on coming! The road up ahead is full of love and of light.
