I heard a lot of bad things about prozac too and really didn't want to start taking it, but I did. A lot of anti-depressants say they can cause suicidal thoughts and to talk to your doctor if you experience this whether it is from the med just from being bipolar. I have had great success with prozac in the past and they just put me back on it again. Everyone has different experiences, just keep an open line with your pdoc. I took tegretol in the beginning, but I don't remember if I was on prozac at the time.
