it probably differs from person to person. for myself, there were times i could hear them but over time i cannot. i do not know what their inner world is as i have never been there. the only inner world i know of is darkness where i go sometimes.

i would have to guess maybe there is some kind of barrier or layer where if they are closer to the surface/front, the more they might be heard/felt (again, that i also assuming how it is for my own experience).
