Hmmm... I wonder why all the sudden, out of the blue, coffee would just cause you bad anxiety like that. Are you sure that it really was coffee that was the culprit? Do you think maybe it wasn't the coffee but the new job orientation? I know I get anxiety pretty bad when I have a job interview or orientation, even if it is just watching videos.
If it really was the coffee that was causing the anxiety, switching to decaf might be a good idea, along with the other ideas you suggested.
Me, I am very caffeine sensitive but I love coffee, especially my morning cup. I go to the coffee shop every morning after I take the kids to school and drop the hubby off at the train station. I always get a small because if I have more than that, I will feel all jittery. Sometimes I will have a small cup or two spaced out later in the day also. Before I was on seroquel, if I drank a cup, say after 8pm, I would be up all night long. Every once in a great while I'll have an energy drink during the day but I don't drink sodas at all. I hate that jittery feeling that causes unneeded anxiety.
