i knew someone that definitely had tourette's.... apparently couldnt notice their verbal ticks... guess cause it was so normal to them that it tunes out...

I am very glad it made sense.
Tourette's and OCD are actually quite similar if you think about it and the two often coincide. That is, Those with Tourette's are also very likely to suffer from OCD.
I can sort of relate to your deodorant-compulsions. When I put my glasses on, I glide them open thrice across my cheeks before pushing them on. I repeat how ever many times it takes for them to feel right. I simply cannot focus if they aren't. I believe that is more to do with Tourette's, however.
