Also I disagree with KinkyGuy. Some people might be able to manage ADHD-like symptoms with pure willpower, but such people likely wouldn't be diagnosed with ADHD in the first place. Not everybody has either the mildness of symptoms or the coping mechanisms in place to be able to do the same things off the bat. Many folks need support before they can make any progress, and that's nothing to be ashamed of. Further, symptoms manifest differently in different people.
