I have never really been "good" at comforting people. I just don't know what to say when someone's upset or grieving etc. I am scared to say the wrong thing too, that's why I don't really know what to say.
My boyfriend's grand parents died in April a few days before his birthday and it really did upset him. I helped him as much as I possibly could and he has been fine. Which is fantastic. He told me he was talking to one of his friends who lost a loved one and he's helping them, don't get me wrong that is fantastic that he is helping them. I just know that it's bringing up those memories of his grief, but I don't know what to tell him.
My question is, is there anyway I can help him more? I mean I know he is still grieving, and its bringing back painful memories for him and I want to help. I can't stand my friends being in pain. have any ideas of what I could say to him?
