Been on varying doses of lithium for 10 years. Its hell being off it for me. One of the oldest, tried and true meds for bipolar. Hope it works for you. There are side effects for me but nothing so unbearable i had to stop it. Stopping it was a trial by pdoc that proved i needed lithium. Good luck!!!
