Thanks for posting this! I agree, the images are great and I didn't find most of the information points to be lame. I found them more perceptive and useful than the usual kind of thing you get from any list of "things about depression."

Yep, I had to cut and paste a few of the ones that either made me laugh or really applied to me. Humor me.

Most of the things people will say to help you are profoundly and dangerously unhelpful.

Everything will start to annoy you. Even you will start to annoy you.
Unfortunately, I use this one to justify avoiding trying to strengthen friendships and relationships. I figure if I bore and annoy myself much of the time, why would I want to inflict myself on someone I like?

Everyday tasks will feel overwhelming.
The mention of the bowl of cereal reminded me of my struggle with bag salad. When bag salad first became available (in the early 90s I think?) I thought it was for lazy people. Now when I'm really down, tearing the bag open seems like a huge effort. Well, it is really tough plastic, and the kitchen scissors are usually not in their place.

You won’t be able to think clearly about your future.
This one really got to me. It's not that I didn't already know this. It's just that when I read this, it suddenly hit me that this is yet another way that depression can derail your life. When you've been having problems thinking clearly about the future for much of the time since 1987, you eventually realize that the best part of your adult life has fallen victim to your illness.
