I've been on birth control pills since I was about 17. No side effects other than the odd headache, I get my blood pressure done every three months and it's always fine and I've been on a variety of different meds since I was 16 and the doctors have never been concerned about med interactions or anything like that.

Almost every girl I know is on them, you should try them, there's really nothing to worry about and they do help with the pain.
