Ah, the "do as I say, not as I do" type. Yeah, classic narcissist. You're not going to reason with someone like that. They like drama, and they like making all the wrongs of the world about them. Nothing is ever their fault, and calling them out on anything requires a huge argument and/or explanation as to why you did because it's not their fault! Someone else did it!

I've been around way too many like this, and it always winds up being about them even when you try to help. Tread lightly if you want to stay friends. You're in for a rough ride.
