I don't get why when I do this (exercise including running) and do not alter (increase) my food and even decrease my food (as I did recently as a direct result) that my weight goes up!

I just want to keep myself healthy! I've had exercise issues in the past, spent stupid amounts of time mostly multiple times a day in the gym, walking or running around the park and driven myself to the point of near complete exhaustion. my weight was just creeping up and up...I only lost the weight when I cut out the exercise.

I'm now at an age where I have to do exercise to keep myself healthy. I had just gotten to a weight I felt I could tolerate. OK so it was low, but I wasn't at deaths door and I was managing it, then I took up more exercise after finding a class I liked (ballet type fitness which is mainly focused on resistance rather than cardio) and I get my weight going up?! I am so disappointed! I feel like my body doesn't want me to exercise. I even cut back on what I was eating by 20% to try to get my weight to at least not go up as fast but it's made no difference.

I don't get it. I don't know what I am doing wrong- I eat exactly the same things every day and only increased the exercise yet my weight went up. I'm almost too scared to eat or to move! I'm not sure how I keep myself fit and my body not at risk of falling apart with lack of use if I don't exercise and keep it moving.
