It's so easy to say we hide behind a mask and that we make up this false self to gain what we need. You may believe this to be true but I don't think it's so cut and dry. My achievements are not false or made up, the things I am proud of are true. Actual events that took place not just imagined and made to be bigger than they are. I too have goals, some may be larger than others but they do happen and are reached by doing what needs to be done for these to be completed. These "docs" need more help on this subject. Probably just as much as I do!!! Sure it's easy to write of people who do bad things and then generalize amongst the masses but this creates false terms for others to see. Get your head out of your as)$&/: and see that you haven't even scratched the surface with what this is. Pros Bly the same for other people here in different categories. Annoyed by the world at the moment!!!
Is this site associated with Dr. Jean M. Twenge?

If so, I would take what she has to say with a grain of salt. She seems to think anything that isn't social conservative and far-right finger wagging is a sign of the selfish "Me" generation. Very one-sided. I read her two books and threw them in the trash.

Addendum: I actually remember in one of her books she mentioned the reason many young people are atheistic or simply not religious is due to the generation's narcissism. Lmfao. Yes, this Ph.D psychologist said that irreligion is because of narcissism, not for instance... Science? Technology? Social progress?
