The best thing to do when you mess up on whether you took a pill or not is to count them, and work it out on a calendar from when they were filled at the pharmacy. Of course, this works much better when you count the pills as soon as you get them, because some pharmacies don't count so good.

Second, 60 mg of Remeron is very activating. It seems counter-intuitive, but there are two very distinct modes of action for Remeron. The first one, the sleep inductive effect, is actually the most powerful at 15-30 mg. In fact, for a lot of people, at 30 mg that effect is already diminishing. I could explain that more fully, if you'd like.

At 60 mg, the sleep-induction thing is generally totally gone, and all you get is the antidepressant effect, which is pretty stimulating for most people.

You're right, your meds wouldn't likely be at the bottom of your purse if you took some tonight. If you did take double the normal dose, you'll get through it without too much difficulty, but you may have trouble sleeping tonight.
