I have the same problem, can't ask for jack shyt, and when I do muster the courage, I mostly relearn why I refrain from asking.


I'm a single mom too, lucky for me though, my daughter is 11 already so she's not high maintenance and actually helps when I need her to.


She's a Godsend


If you really can't bring yourself to ask someone for a weekend, try tackling the house in small increments.


Set a timer, say for 15 minutes, then you tackle one task until the timer goes off.


Take a break, once again, you decide how long and then start with another task once your break is over.



I tried this method, but my OCD kicks in so quickly it either overrides my depression and I end up getting though everything while ignoring the timer completely, or I end up overwhelmed and in tears because I can't finish but I really want to. LOL


But I hear some members do find this method helpful.


Also, if you're a music lover, crank up the volume while you're cleaning. I cannot for the life if me get through cleaning without music.
