Well I stuck my foot in my mouth when I was talking to one of my few friends. We we're talking about travel and I told her that I was thinking about going to the Carribean. She looked at me and said she wasn't sure where the Carribean was. I paused for a second and said - Really you don't know where the Carribean is? Well, from the look on her face she didn't appreciate my tone - I didn't mean to hurt her I just was a little shocked. So later it really started to bother me because I know how much it irritates me when somebody says something insensitive. The irony is that the comment may have cause me more heartburn than her because she probably absorbed it and moved on. Now I keep thinking I need to aplologize before she takes me off her friend list - this is my twisted thinking.
