I've just sent an electronic application for three jobs. I haven't worked for eight years due to serious, life threatening mental illnesses. I'm in a financial crunch so it makes the pressure greater. The jobs are low-key and part time/casual. I had a pretty high flying career but don't aspire to getting back to that level again. I'd just like a little job. When I'd not been working for about three years I tried to go back and it failed dismally and I had to resign. But I didn't come out unscathed and got really mentally ill and had to have a big new med introduction. The pressure is so bad to get a job. I don't want it just for the money but also social contact, job well done, self esteem etc.

Any thoughts from anyone who has been in a similar situation to me?
