The local public shelter system has made a final determination (again) that I cannot have shelter services from them. They want me to travel to another county back and forth every day. My life has been here in this county. This is where I worked, my kids are here, my doctors, my church, everything. My last address was only ONE MILE out of this county, still much closer to this shelter office than the one in the other county.

The other housing option is deemed by myself to be F'd beyond all H***. They haven't listened to me, they have talked to several other people and everybody is seriously confused. I also have extreme problems with not having access to my medications (including prn ones such as for asthma, heart, migraine, pain, etc.). I can be 10 miles from where they would hold my meds, and only open during office hours. What if I can't breathe or have chest pains/palpitations while away from the office area? Then I'm screwed! I know my case manager from this one place kind of hates me, also (hehehehehee!) but I don't care.

Anyway, that's my update folks. I'm living in my car permenently and always until further notice. So, any of you got friends in high places around the Chicago area? Maybe the right connections, and we can sail some of these @sses from a flagpole and get me into a good local housing/shelter.
