There isn't anything wrong with enjoying hanging out with members of the opposite gender. Whatever makes you happy is far more important than what society may frown upon.

Personally I have mixed feelings about the genders. I like having both male and female friends for different reasons. I like my male friends because I have an easier time trusting them and I find them to be more loyal, although I find it difficult to identify with most males because I'm not a stereotypical "moncho man"; I'm more of a geek/pretty boy if you will.

Similarly I enjoy being around women because I find many of them gentle, easier to relate to, and more open-minded, however, I still have trust issues towards women due to all of the female abusers that I've had in my life.
