So I'm supposed to get a blood draw this morning to have my lamictal level checked. The order is written on my pdoc's prescription pad. I go into my clinic with an appointment, and the tech says "this isn't an order it's a request, probably to another doctor, to order the test done.
Right. It makes perfect sense that my pdoc would request another doctor order the blood test. I called my pdoc's office and they were adamant that it is an order, and promised to call the clinic. I haven't heard back from them yet.
So I'll have to reschedule the blood draw, and get myself psyched to go back to the clinic. That's not nearly the challenge it would have been a couple of weeks ago, but still-- one lame-brained tech throws the whole thing out of whack-- and this is supposedly a time-sensitive test, to be done 5-7 days after upping the lamictal level. And of course today is day 7.
