I hear you. Yes, that's why people with a compassionate spirit continue and nourish that spirit in their lives. It has wonderful payoffs for self as well. I didn't mean to diminish that aspect. I feel my most whole, complete and useful when I've been able to, even in just a small way, help someone or relate to them. What I was trying to say is, that even the best things in life can be draining in other ways when it doesn't leave time for what we made need for self. I really hope you come through this time knowing how much you are thought of and appreciated.

It sounds like like you have good, clear boundaries and expectations with your commitment to caring for others. That's wonderful! On the other hand, I sometimes lose myself in helping others. Right now, I'm trying to care for my 23 mo old nephew...going on the third week. If I'm not careful, I can lose myself and any focus I may have.

Be safe,

Kimmydawn
