I know that feeling, ThunderGoddess. I too am "obsessed" with books on BPD, that's probably because I love reading and I want to expand my knowledge of the disorder. I was diagnosed with Bipolar until half a year ago and in time I read lots of books on the subject, which eventually proved to be utterly useless, because it's been determined I'm not and never have been bipolar. However, they will prove useful if ever I meet someone suffering from the disorder.
I don't think Lost in the Mirror is written for professionals, indeed I would have loved to buy a copy of it for my parents, if only they knew English (unfortunately we have few to no books on BPD in Italian). As I said, it's triggering, but if you can stand it, it's definitely worth a read, it's written in a very compassionate way.
