I had an EMDR session, actually several, and they were a set back for me. Had them at the EAP office and I think it was too soon after the trauma to do that. It seemed to pull up a lot of other stuff that didn't need to be pulled up. It might be different now. I think she told me you could do EMDR yourself also, not sure. I've heard good things about it, it just didn't work out for me then.
