I have also read a great deal about NDE's, which served to whet my curiosity about spiritual matters. A book by Eben Alexander, provided ample evidence ( to me anyway ) that consciousness is not just a product of brain function, but that a part of us is eternal. I highly recommend the work of Dr Michael Newton, starting with his book "Journey of Souls", based on hundreds of sessions with his patients under hypnosis, and which describes in great detail our souls journey after death, into the afterlife, with our soul mates and guides, appearing before our council, selecting a new physical life, preparing for departure, and finally rebirth. This book, and a follow up entitled "Destiny of Souls" will ABSOLUTELY change your life and your outlook.
