How as does it work? Is it like a come one come all type thing? Do you have to referred? Does it cost?
It's free, it's run by the National Autistic Society for my country (I currently lie in Northern Ireland), and we meet up once or twice a month at different places (chosen by us) and do different activities. My favourite was the Belfast Christmas Continental Market last December - usually I'd have been to scared to go and would have had a meltdown after only a few minutes with the crowds and noise, but together we all really enjoyed it. The more confident ones did the talking to the stall owners if we couldn't make words come out, which took a lot of stress away for me personally. We just kind of helped each other.

First hour we met none of us said a word (no exaggeration, we sat there is total silence for that long) but now we talk so much.
I'd definitely recommend it if there's one in your area, and a lot of the ways I cope I learned from other Autists
