I know what you mean about not being able to stop if you start. It's called a vicious cycle! And it is very scary to be there. I'm really sorry you are having to be there. I really hope you can get through this, without getting caught up in a vicious cycle. I know exactly what it feels like, and I know you don't want to go there. I think the coping skills idea is a really good idea! A lot of times when I'm having a rough time, in order to keep my hands busy, I'll start doing all the dusting around the apartment, or if you live in a house, you could dust the house, or if I have any dishes to do, I'll get them done to, and get the trash out. Just anything I can find to keep me busy, but usually that stuff is already done since I have an OCD for cleanliness. So I'll sit and write poetry, or even just a letter to a friend, or like one of the others said, writing the pro's and con's, is a really good idea as well! I really hope everything works out, and you're okay. And you're able to keep yourself from self-harming! I wish you the best in all your efforts! And you'll be in my thoughts as well as you fight this! Believe that you're not alone in this fight, we fight together in this, and there is more power in numbers! You've got my support all the way!
