hello,
ive been trying to find some answers to my current predicament but to no avail as of yet. im wondering if anybody would know the answer to this question. it seems an adjudication of mentally defective is now showing up through a background check in a database managed by the FBI. the only thing i can think of was when i was 14 and my parents had sent me to a behavioral clinic. i was vaguely remember this part but i seem to remember after 5 days going before what they called a judge in this little room on the property. i believe it was then that i was adjudicated as a mental defective. i had a friend commit suicide and didnt know how to handle it at that age so i began acting out. i punched some holes in my parents walls and broke a vacuum cleaner and was just an all around idiot at this point in my life. does anyone know if this sounds like a procedure that would occur at a place like that? has anyone worked at any institutions that would know? i have had these kinds of checks done on me in the past and nothing came up. i havent had a background check done in about 5 years and now it is there and causing problems. i am 29 years old now, almost 30. i also had another question. is it possible for say a private doctor that i am seeing or have seen on my own accord to give my file or something to a board or commision and then adjudicate me mentally defective? ive just been racking my brain lately trying to figure this out. the only time i ever went anywhere involuntarily was the instance from when i was 14. i did get my med records from said place and there was nothing in there about a judgement although i did not specify anything related to legal matters.
