I've read that earworms are especially common for those with OCD... probably true for plenty of bipolar and creative types as well though.

Specifically, the reason that certain songs get stuck is that they are repetitive in a certain way, that causes our brains to keep trying to resolve what's circular about them but without being able to finish the job. That's why it's sometimes the more "annoying" songs which we don't like that get stuck.
