I personally find it to be rather effective. Our group facilitator doesn't force us to talk about experiences if we don't want to, which is nice for those who prefer not to. It also teaches you a lot about where emotions come from and whatnot. I just started a few weeks ago, and we've started with emotion regulation which was exactly what I needed. I love the concept, personally.
