I focus on preparing for whatever it is I'm planning to do when I have to wait, even if the preparations I come up with are actually irrelevant. I just tie it all together in my mind. That way I can feel like I am working/moving towards whatever it is I want, rather than feeling like I am just waiting.

Like this Saturday I am going to get my ears pierced. In order to 'prepare' I need to lose 2 lbs, wash all my bedding, clean the bathroom so it will be a neat and sanitary place for me to clean and turn the piercings three times per day, go window shopping and figure out what type(s) of earrings I want once I can take the starter studs out, etc.

On Saturday while I'm waiting to leave for the parlor, I will need to shower, shave, style my pixie to be out of the way, wash my face, clean my nails, brush my teeth, prepare a spot for the cleaning solution on the sink, make and have a snack with balanced macros to help me not faint, write down the directions from the house to the parlor, etc.

I'm still waiting, really, but I'm coming up with as many things I 'need' to do first, in the meantime, to ease that gnawing pressure that I must be reaching my goal RIGHT NOW.
Thanks for this!
