doesn't sound like she's ready to change...i don't think there is anything you can do.

i'm not the most sympathetic to alcholism...too many in my family...i do know it's hard to quit even when they accept it's a problem...

so i don't think your friend is anywhere near ready for help. i think it's just important you take care of yourself and not let her problems worry you too much.

regarding her son...doesn't sound like it's in his best interest to live with his mom... she obviously can't take care of herself....much less take care of him properly....
