Hello. Let me just clear up by what I mean. So when someone first sees some type of mental health specialist, they are usually asked general questions and depression always comes up because it is the most common mental disorder. They will ask how you feel in the last 2 weeks or so, etc..

But with the logic stated above, all the general screenings I had to answer to help my pdoc get a better sense of me, it always stated in the last 2 weeks if something has changed. But that was me seeking helps after 4 depressive years, so asking if anything has changed over the last 2 weeks, nothing has because I felt the same 2 weeks ago as I do now.

But, if my mood was compared before my little t (which is why I have mainly become depressed, which is because of parents' divorce btw), then a lot has changed. I started eating more, sleeping less, feeling sadder? (If that is a word), feeling worthless, etc.. But that started 6 years ago. My screening was done 2 years ago. It was completely missed because of the phrasing of both my pdoc and the questionnaire she made me fill out. I know it would be really hard to have a separate test for each person, but I don't want something like this to happen to future people like me who decided to seek help.

Anyways, has this happened to anyone or just me? I knew I shouldn't feel this way, but I do. My mom gets mad at me because I'm overweight, but that's because I eat more because I'm depressed. And I don't burn weight off as easily because I don't sleep enough, and I don't have motivation to do a lot of things, including exercise.

This is just my opinion on things. Thanks for any response [emoji4] .
