Mine is the opposite! I wake up depressed every day, before I even open my eyes, and sadly it's often only by the time the day is almost over that the fog has started to clear.

I find I still have to actively manage my day around the schedule of my energy though. During the day, I try to prevent myself from tending to tasks that are enjoyable but which require less energy, and put them off till later so that I'll have something to do when I start to fade. You might consider coming up with a specific list to refer to, of those things that would best engage you at those times of day that you tend to feel most vulnerable... for instance I always save reading for the evening, because it energizes my mind to read about topics I'm interested in, but requires the least physical energy.

A late shower is nice too though. I just had one a little while ago myself.
