Why are things so hard?

Hi Mets,
I remember you posted in the forum before, about not wanting to be a slave and asking for help. I can accept that my reply to you back then may not have helped. I hope it's ok to try again.
I remember you talked about having a free spirit, and wanting to make your own craft beer, and you said something about making your own hot sauce recipe. I think those are awesome ideas. One thing I've learned, good ideas come and good ideas go. If you fail to act on them, someone else will.
Why is it so hard? I could write a book about that and believe me, there are reasons and no, you aren't too ignorant to understand them. One reason things are hard is this thing called competition. In some ways, our society is a fear based society. It's based on the fear that there isn't enough of everything to go around for everyone. So, we have competition. The best get the best. In truth, of the things we really need to live, there is plenty to go around, but, we have already built this society this way and that's the way it is. Sure, it could change, you could change it, but, it's pretty hard to do alone and many people are satisfied with the way things are so, it's better not to ask why it's hard, it's better to just accept, that for now, it is hard.
To make it as an entrepreneur you need several factors working in your favor. You mentioned some in your original thread about this. Yes, it's hard, but, it's not impossible.
You sound like one of the people for whom ordinary just isn't good enough. That's ok. It takes all kinds to make society work. It begins to not be ok when you start to blame yourself that you aren't doing better or blame God that it doesn't care. If there is a God, trust me, it cares, it just may not be able to give you what you want. That's where personal willpower comes in. If you want it bad enough, you have to try and achieve it. Pray to God for strength, by asking, you inadvertently open yourself to the idea of receiving it. Another thing you can do is meditate on your goal. Really envision it. What does it feel like? What does it look like? How do you feel when the goal is achieved. By doing those things, you prepare yourself for accepting success when it happens. Last but most important, get out and make it happen. Study how others succeeded, emulate them. practice their manners, their speech, their behavior. If it worked for them, they must have done something right. You can too.
