I spent 10 hours at a trial yesterday of a man accused of sexually assaulting a developmentally and physically disabled woman. It took me 3 hours to write the story to avoid being even remotely graphic, though the testimony was excruciatingly graphic, and my paper's policy is not to disclose names of assault victims. Most feel the same way.
Let's not paint the whole profession with a broad brush, shall we? Stereotypes are just as damaging and untrue when applied to professions as anywhere else. (eg, everybody makes lawyer jokes, but it would be a tough world without lawyers.)
I'm sorry you're upset, but I'm also not the a$$hole you're making me out to be by association.
