That's a horrible thing for him to have said! Sometimes though, guys don't really realize what they are saying. Perhaps he meant it as a compliment. I know it doesn't sound like it (my boyfriend said something very similar recently..) but maybe he focused more on the "cute" part than the rest of what he was saying? If not then that was just incredibly inconsiderate of him...

I totally understand where you're coming from with feeling horrible when going to bed without a growling tummy. I hate it.
