Somehow I think this is skunk season. I did see one as I was rounding the hill on the road to me farm. Lol. Don't think the little guy actually was in my back yard. I was going to have the washer delivery guys come in through my basement sliding doors but the backyard is soooooo overgrown it would have taken me days to clear it enough for them to get through. LOL....I first looked at my entry way & all that needed to be moved & initially went for the yard...but after I looked closer at the yard...I went for moving furniture I needed to move & clean around anyway. Killed 2 birds with one stone (tho I would NEVER kill a bird).
Washer delivered & set up. Now I have a ton of laundry to do. At least can throw it in a machine & let IT do the work.
Haven't smelled skunk for a few days now...but they are out & about more than I have experienced previous years.
Loved when I drove home last night after ballroom dance class I parked right in front of my door with headlights shining across my field & picked up the sight on 2 doe's wandering down the driveway. Also interesting while mowing the path into my back field I crossed a bunny path in the grass. Several other paths I found in the mowed but longer grass I was mowing. They might be from deer also. I mow the front area later in the day but not that area. Definitely wouldn't want to run across a skunk on my mower. I found a tiny baby turtle when mowing a few years ago. You never know what you will find....the joy of farm living..have never loved anything more in my life even with the horrible skunk smells. How can anything sooooo cute STINK soooooo bad????
