I also get olfactory hallucinations and I went outside and smelled dog poop by my next door neighbor's backyard. They don't have dogs, no one ever walks their dogs back there, and there was no poop anywhere. My yard has a lot of poop that needs to be cleaned up but I didn't smell it when I came back in. The smell thing could just be me being paranoid but I'm going to keep an eye on it.
I saw my pdoc a couple days ago and I totally forgot to bring it up. It happens, disturbs me for a minute, then I forget about it.

Mention it next time you go and report back. What you said seems like it stems from suggestion, which is interesting. I googled a minute ago and found that a condition exists that cause people to lose the ability to determine the origin of sounds, but I only skimmed the page.
In addition to that, when I have been unwell in the past (whether hypo, manic, or mixed I couldn't say because it was last year before I received my dx and started paying attention) I had a period of time when I smelled b.o. on me all the time and I thought people were avoiding me. No amount of cleansing or deodorant made a difference. Actually to sit and think on it like this I have smelled a lot of things that were odd at the time.
