I spent the day floating down the river in a kayak. The sun was on my face and the water was nice and cool. I did a lot of thinking about life and what is important to me.

My life is what I make out of what has been given to me. And, really, I have it pretty good. Yes, I have been through much in my short lifespan and much of it was down right horrible, but I have come out of the battle of life and I am a winner. Granted it has taken a lot of work, but the work has been worth it.

What is important to me is love. Love for my family, friends, strangers and even myself. It does not matter what happens tomorrow because all I have is today and today I am going to make the most of everything I have.
