Back in the day my periods made all of my symptoms worse, so I went on the depo provera shot to get rid of the periods altogether. Have not regretted it. There can be risks of difficulty with pregnancy after taking the shot for a long time, though, so it's worth researching if you want children in the future. Wasn't an issue for me so I went for it.
