I have heard this a lot too, and used to think this after several failed attempts at recovery. But in addiction, life is absolutely unmanageable, the worst day sober is better than best day in addiction? It's true, even though I had some fun times using drugs. But it quickly changed and during the end, it was not fun at all, it is complete and utter misery.

That statement is true though, because when you're sober and you have a bad day, it is still something that is manageable, and with a clear head you see that the next day, things aren't actually so bad. Good luck!
