As shytti as that definitely is, the silver lining is that you know about Thanksgiving in advance.


So now you can plan ahead, maybe visit a friend instead, or plan a feast for 1.


I've chosen to spend Christmas by myself in the past, at home pigging out having a movie marathon because my "brother" was in the country and I have a "no contact" rule.


It wasn't ideal, but it's certainly better than subjecting myself to torture, and I will do so for future holidays too.
