Dunno about all that somat.
I do know that I have worked with young teens with attachment issues. Foster children that have been pushed from pillar to post.
I know that if a child is to be adopted that need to happens A.S.A.P the younger the baby/child the more likely the adoption is to be successful.
In severe cases of neglect, like with Romanian orphans R.A.D causes an total inability to attach.
My guess is that maybe the amydala (shown to play a key role in the
processsing of emotions) because of lack of stimulation, has atrophied.
Attachment disorder is not the same as narcissism, but similar in that there is a lack of empathy in both disorders.
