the forum is so massive that its hard to make an impact and get deep in friendships, just keep posting in as many boards that apply to you and people will eventualy recognise your name and purposely read your posts when they see your threads.

great answer the key being "when they see your threads"

Have you ever noticed this on the main page of the forums. 1780 posts in the last 24 hours. That is a lot of people looking for a lot of support. There is no way I could read all those posts never mind answer them.
I get a tad angry when something I post does not get a response right away or ever. I have learned and am still learning to not take it personally. I recently posted in the addiction forum. http://forums.psychcentral.com/smoki...ml#post4748568 It took awhile for a reply, but then I got 2, I posted again. This is my way of keeping my thread alive, acknowledging those who replied, building relationships.
I wanted and needed even more support so I sent the link to this thread to people I have gotten to know here. I told people in chat I needed support and gave them the link. Now I post the link here (because it has something to do with my post). Now whoever reads this thread will become aware of my thread needing support.
