I made a list of things I could do without smoking and did them to help me ride out the cravings. Brushing my teeth, taking a shower, riding bike, walking and swimming were tops on my list. They came in handy.
I avoided things that went hand in hand with smoking for me. Alcohol, coffee, driving and talking on the phone to name a few.
